Miami Cigar Extravaganza is Back!
Miami is not only famous for its scenic sights, warm weather and the Miami Heat basketball team but also for Cigars. In fact, Miami is known as the cigar capital of USA. Therefore, it is understandable that a Cigar block party extravaganza will be hosted in Miami in December. This is going to be the biggest cigar block party in the world.
The last Cigar Extravaganza event brought cigar lovers together from around the country, cigar celebrities, over 50 cigar vendors, Miami’s cigar elite, VIPs, and cigar experts like Gary Manelski of About.com, who covered the event, to mingle over new cigars as well as the classics while getting their smoke on in South Florida style.
This year's Extravaganza is being organized to be even bigger and better. Cigars are an art form with its own culture which will be celebrated in the spirit of Art Basel Miami also in December. The weekend will be loaded with special cigar events, starting with The VIP Pre-event Signature Cigar Dinner on Friday night hosted by one of our sponsors. Continuing straight into the main event the next day and culminating with a great party, amazing prize raffles and more.

Cigar Bar Lights Up
Cigar Fans are delighted to have a new place for smoking cigars. Ashton Cigar Bar lights up this month at Arkansas. The owner Robert Levin with his son Sathya and daughter Meera have renovated this bar, which was previously until February 2012 known as Mahagony on Walnut. They have renovated and renamed this bar as Ashton Cigar Bar and will offer great cigar deals.
The cigar bar is located above the Holt's retail store.
It’s named for Holt’s brand of cigars, Ashton, which are produced in the Dominican Republic.
In has the feel of a luxury cigar bar, but with a couple of new wrinkles. In addition to a wide range of cigars including Ohm bundle cigars and Romeo Y Julieta, it will have more than 200 whiskeys and signature cocktails. The space is outfitted with plush lounge chairs, flat-screen televisions and a state-of-the-art air purification system.
“We’ve taken significant steps to make all of our guests feel welcome, even those who may not have ever set foot in a cigar bar before,” said Levin. “Our customized air purification system comes from the same manufacturer that provides systems for many of the country’s top hospitals and casinos. Our goal is to keep the air crisp and clean at all times.”
Opening date is Sept. 12.

Cigar, Wine and Food Festival
As the Libertyville festival kicks off, there will be Cigars, Wine, Beer and Food at this festivle. Moreover with the delicious food, 350 varieties of fine wine and fine cigar deals, there will be live music to soothe your ears. This year this festival enters into its fourth year. Again, there will be a Raffle draw this year and the proceeds will go to various charities.
There is something for everyone at this popular Libertyville festival. The 4th annual North Shore Beer, Wine, Cigar, and Food Festival has over 350 fine wines, 150 craft beers and fine cigars for you to sample while listening to live music. Local restaurants will have delicious food to satisfy your hunger. New this year, they are giving away cash to the fortunate ticket holders of the Libertyville Sunrise Rotary Raffle. The cigars can be acquired at best cigar prices from this festival.
The festival will be held on the Brainerd Field located at 416 W. Park Ave. in Libertyville from 4-8 p. m. on Saturday, August 24th. Tickets are $30 in advance and $40 at the gate. Each ticket includes 10 tastes and a souvenir glass. New this year, a VIP tasting hour is offered from 3-4 p.m. for serious wine and beer buyers. Advance tickets can be purchased at Libertyville Village Hall, Sandi's Florist, Mickey Finn's, Wine & Spirit Warehouse, and Neumann's Cigars. You can try the various cigar sampler in this festival.
The Libertyville Sunrise Rotary Club will draw 21 winning tickets from their cash raffle during the festival. Over $30,000 worth of prize money will be raffled with a Grand Prize of $15,000. Tickets are $25 each or $100 for five. The proceeds from the raffle will benefit local, regional and international charities as well as the Save Brainerd Foundation. A $50 combination ticket including entry to the festival and one raffle ticket is available through advance sales.
